If you think of doing anything perfectly on the first go, you are likely to procrastinate. Rather we should at first get started and then keep bringing small edits. This quote struck me, “ Perfect is the enemy of good” by Voltaire. Just get started and move towards betterment on the journey.
Things I did this week.
I recommend watching Attack on Titans. The story is well crafted. And, you can distill multiple life lessons from the show.
Maps of Meaning
At first, I thought of digging up this psychological/ philosophical book named Maps of Meaning. I realized the sentences were too hard. And I was having a tough time comprehending. So, I decided to read multiple summaries and watch the lecture series.
If I were to describe the lectures within a few sentences, it would be life has a meaning, although it is suffering. Chasing a goal that’s beneficial to everyone makes this suffering worthwhile. Men are destined to explore the unknown, discover new things. Use the discovered knowledge for the good of people. And, a meaningful life is one with responsibility.
The videos are each around 2.5 hours long and, there are 12 videos. It’s long lecture series. But, I felt watching this was worth it.

watch the whole series
or read the summary, the only one summary I felt explains a lot.
Coming back to the first paragraph, at first, do a task well. Then keep improving it. Everything doesn’t need to be perfect.
